Jenny From the Block Shows Us How It's Done
Here’s the thing about Jennifer Lopez: She can try to convince us that she’s still “Jenny from the block” all she wants, but as long as she looks this perfect every time she hits the red carpet, I’m not buying it. And no, I’m not “fooled by the rocks that she’s got” - I could care less about jewelry, actually. But look at that hair! Her hair always looks absolutely immaculate, and I can’t believe that she could accomplish that kind of perfection on her own, without access to a skilled stylist and all sorts of CHI hair goodies.
Okay, so that’s not entirely fair: CHI hair products are so awesome that you could probably do a pretty good job of making yourself look perfect on a day in/day out basis. Not to toot my own horn, but I think my hair actually looks pretty fabulous ever since I discovered CHI.

Fabulous and funky is just my style and it has been ever since middle school when I used Kool-Aid to experiment with my hair color. From purple to green to blue to red, my mother was always a little horrified to see the which color of the rainbow was going to end up on my head. I think her shock was part of the allure. But the shock wore off and she got used to my colorful tastes and now can’t remember what my natural hair color is. She is convinced that Rihanna isn’t the trendsetter - she is sure that RiRi saw me on the streets of NYC and decided she wanted to look like me. My mom is sweet. She keeps an eye out for any cool new colors and told me recently about CHI hair. I always thought that CHIs were just a line of straighteners (which I use) but I didn’t realize that they have a whole line of hair products including deeply rich pigmented colors. Way to go, Mom! And just like their other CHI hair products, there is silk in their colors. So awesome. I need all the moisture and help I can get - when you’ve been dying your hair as long as me, anything that helps to keep my hair looking healthy is going to get my first vote!

SPOTTED: Queen B Blair Waldorf - that’s Leighton Meester to all you Gossip Girl newbs - has been seen out and about with some very uncharacteristic hair. Seems that the NYU frosh-turned-Columbia sophomore is trying to wash that man right out of her hair - literally - by trading her signature chestnut-brown curls for Cali-inspired highlights and straight hair, possibly courtesy of a Chi hair straightener.
Too bad, B. Guess jetting off to Paris with Serena wasn’t enough to make you forget about Chuck completely; looks like someone’s been spending their time on the California coast. Who knows? Maybe when Blair comes back to New York in the fall, she’ll have more than just a sun-kissed complexion and a glorious head full of straight, blonde Chi hair. Could a torrid love affair with a surfer be far behind? Quelle horreur! What will the Upper East Side have to say about that?

Flat Iron Camouflage
Whether I’m hiding out from the enemy or stalking my prey through the thick, leafy foliage of the jungle, I know I can always count on my…flat iron!? It sounds hilarious, I know, but believe me when I say that my camouflage flat iron is one of my most prized possessions. Chi hair products are always the best, and this flat iron is no exception. It heats up quickly, straightens almost instantaneously, and is remarkably kind to my hair. Plus, the fun camo pattern is totally adorable, and it makes me feel tough and fierce! Always a plus when you’re getting ready to face the day.
Although the camo flat iron from Chi hair is probably best suited to getting ready for a crazy night out on the town, I also love to use it when I’m getting ready in the morning before work. It really puts me in a great frame of mind. I’ve never been much of a “girly” girl, so I appreciate the fact that Chi was able to design an iron for those of us who are a little less delicate. Unsurprisingly, guys love it too. I actually caught one of my ex-boyfriends secretly trying to straighten his hair with it while I was asleep!
Celebrity Hair...CHI Hair
Whenever I see a celebrity on the red carpet with sleek, straight hair I think about how much time must have gone into making that style look fresh and frizz-free. As much as I may wish that I had celebrity-straight hair, I just don’t have that kind of time. Or my own personal stylist to make it happen! But recently a friend of mine that has been working as a receptionist at a salon told me that it isn’t about the time that is invested into a sleek style: it’s the products. She calls it “CHI hair” when she sees sleek styles because she knows that quality products, like CHI Hair products, had to of been used if the hairstyle had chance to look that good. I wasn’t sure if that could really work - just using the right products - but I took her up on her challenge. How to Get Mena Suvari's Intriguing Haircut
I have been a fan of Mena Suvari’s ever since she first emerged onto the Hollywood scene with her pivotal role in American Beauty, which ended up winning the Best Picture Oscar that year (although Mena’s contribution to the film was sadly overlooked). Since then, she’s maintained a relatively low public profile, but she still resurfaces from time to time, and I’m always wowed by her interesting hair choices. Case in point: This lovely shoulder-length cut, with blunt bangs that fall straight across her eyebrows. My hair actually isn’t too far removed from this right now, and I all I have to do to edge my existing cut into Mena territory is whip out a few of my trust CHI hair tools and products! I swear by CHI hair styling irons, especially their phenomenal flat irons. It’s really important to make sure your hair is straight if you want to approximate this style, and if you use an inferior iron, you could end up burning your hair…and you certainly won’t be able to get the glossy finish that Mena has on her bangs, which is super important to the overall look. Lately my hair has been getting a lot of compliments. And, not to sound immodest, but I’m not that surprised. I recently bought a CHI straightener and I have been able to experiment with my hairstyles more frequently and with better results than ever before. I have always liked experimenting with my hair but it can take a lot of time and when I am rushing to get to work on time, I usually have to just throw my hair in a ponytail and go. But when I got my CHI all that changed. It heats up so quickly and straightens my hair the first time - instead of needing to go over the same section of hair over and over again, like I used to do with other hair irons. Once my hair is straight, I can try new hairdos - like a slick looking braid and a side swept ponytail that is smooth on top and curled in the “tail.” That is what is so great about using my CHI - I can use it to straighten AND to curl. I get the most perfect waves when I use my CHI. My friends have been calling me “CHI Hair” and look forward to seeing what new style I come up with every morning….sure makes work more interesting!

There are obviously lots of difference choices when it comes to hair care products and styling tools. For the most part, choice is a good thing, but it can definitely get confusing when you’re trying to decide which brand is the absolute best. Rachel Bilson's Perfectly Straight Hair
There is a major internet rumor going on that Rachel Bilson is going to be the “mother” on How I Met Your Mother. Apparently she is set to appear as a major guest star on their hundredth episode in January and people have started whispering. Could Rachel be the mother that we have all been wondering about since the series began? Rachel herself says she can’t confirm or deny the rumor because she hasn’t been told anything about her role yet. All she knows is that she is getting the opportunity to guest star. It is nice that she is getting another acting role because lately she has become known more for her fashion sense than her “day job.”
Not that I mind, because I think that her fashion choices are always spot on. But when I was doing a bit of research about her, I found this picture of Rachel on the red carpet and decided it is her hair that I really covet. Getting straight beautiful hair is always high on my list of “to dos” and she is certainly rocking it in this picture. The most successful way I have found to get the same type of look is by using my CHI flat iron. My CHI makes my hair so silky and sleek and it makes my straight style hold better than any other flat iron I have tried. And I have tried many. Now that I have this superior tool, I will never have anything but CHI hair in the future. So easy to use and it gives me such perfect hair.
